Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are signaling molecules that recognize different microbial products during infection and serve as an important link between the innate and adaptive immune responses (1-3).
These proteins act through adaptor molecules such as MyD88 and TIRAP to activate various kinases and transcription factors such as Protein Kinase C (PKC) alpha/beta and NF-kB (4-6).
TLR2 can form heterodimers with either TLR1 or TLR6, and as a heterodimer can recognize a variety of bacterial and mycoplasma lipoproteins respectively (7).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blotting.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western blot: 0.5-2ug/ml.
Despite its predicted molecular weight, TLR2 runs at ~100kD in SDS-PAGE
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%).
Freeze at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
