One of the major signaling pathways used by eukaryotic cells to translate extracellular signals into cellular responses is the MAP (mitogen-activated protein) kinase cascade.
So far, four MAPK subgroups (ERK, ERK5, JNK and p38) have been identified in humans.
ERK, extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1 and 2 are growth factor-sensitive serine/threonine kinases.
Applications:Suitable for the detection of ERK1 protein in western blot.
A431 whole cell lysate can be used as a positive control.
Western blot analysis of ERK1 in human A431 cell lysate using antibody at 1ug/ml.
Recommended Dilution:Western blot: 1-3ug/ml
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%).
Freeze at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
