特徴

• Anthrax PA (Protective Antigen) and Anthrax LF (Lethal Factor), along with Anthrax EF (Edema Factor), are toxins produced by Bacillus anthracis.
• All three of the proteins must be present for toxic entry into cells.
• PA is secreted from Bacillus anthracis as an 83kD (PA83) protein which is cleaved by furin protease, releasing a 20kD fragment.
• The 63kD portion (PA63) of the cleavage product forms a heptamer, which binds the toxins LF and EF.
• This complex enters via receptor-mediated endocytosis where LF and EF exert their toxic effects.
• PA is cleaved from the 83kD form to the 63kD form at aa164-167.
• Thus the antibody (made against aa186-192) should recognize both the 83kD and 63kD PA forms, but not the 20kD cleavage fragment.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
• Recommended Positive Control:PA recombinant protein
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
