The ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing (Asb) protein family is comprised of members which each contain “SOCS boxes” but differ from other families of protein in the motifs they contain upstream of the SOCS box(1).
SOCS boxes are carboxy-terminal regions of homology found in the suppressor of cytokine signaling family of proteins.
The box region is thought to be the point of interaction between SOCS proteins and E3 ubiquitin ligases.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:Human liver whole cell lysate
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%).
Freeze at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
