• Protein Kinase C (PKC), one of the most important proteins in signal transduction is involved with cell proliferation, differentiation and function.
• PKC is a family of Ca++ phosphatidylserine dependent, serine/threonine kinases with 12 known isozyme members (a, bI, bII, g, d, e, z, h, q, l, m, i).
• PKC isozyme expression and distribution varies at both the tissue and intracellular levels.
• PKC is activated by diacylglycerol.
• PKC functions are dependent on isozyme type and location.
• PKC g (gamma, PKC type I) has a MW of 78kD.
• It is found predominantly in the brain and spinal cord.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:For Immunohistochemistry and Western blotting using alkaline phosphatase or HRP, a dilution of 1:250 is recommended.
• With a more sensitive detection system, such as enhanced chemiluminescence or ELISA, the antibody may be diluted further
• Optimum dilutions to be determined by researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
