A class of kinases that regulates an array of physiological processes and includes cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA), cGMP-dependent protein kinase, protein kinase C, Akt and RSK shares a substrate specificity characterized by arginine at position –3 relative to the phosphorylated Ser or Thr.
These are referred to as Arg-directed kinases or AGC-family kinases.
Phospho-(Ser/Thr) PKA Substrate Antibody provides a powerful new tool for investigating the regulation of phosphorylation by PKA and other Arg-directed kinases, as well as for high throughput kinase drug discovery.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 1:1000.
Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 1X TBS, 5% BSA, 0.1% Tween-20 for 4ºC with gentle shaking overnight.
ELISA (Peptide): 1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
仕様
Size:100ul
Host:rabbit
Grade:Affinity Purified
Purity:Purified by protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
Form:Supplied as a liquid in 10mM sodium HEPES, pH 7.5, 150mM sodium chloride, 0.1mg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol.
Specificity:Recognizes peptides and proteins containing a phospho-Ser/Thr residue with arginine at the -3 position. It is a useful tool in identifying substrates of AGC family kinases, including PKA and PKC. It does not recognize the nonphosphorylated PKA substrate motif.
