• Human 8-Oxoguanine DNA Glycosylase (hOGG1) is involved in the excision of 7, 8-dihydro-8-oxoguanine produced as a result of DNA damage.
• This gene has been localized on human chromosome 3p25.
• Several forms of hOGG protein have been cloned differing in lengths (351-424 aa) (refs 1).
• Full length human OGG1 fusion protein with N-terminal His-tag was expressed in E.
• coli and purified using Nickel-affinity support.
• Purified hOGG1 was injected into rabbits to produce antibodies.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
• Western Blot, though not tested, may potentially be used as an application.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000.
• Deytects a band at ~38kD from human cells and tissues.
• ELISA: 1:10,000-50,000.
• Using 50-100ng control peptide/well
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
