Rat Connexin 37 is A 333 aa gap junction protein with a predicted MW.
Of ~37kD.
It is prominently expressed in lung (see reviews in refs.
1).
A 19 amino acid peptide sequence within the C-terminal cytoplasmic domain of rat Cx37 (2) was used to generate anti-Mouse Cx37.
Peptide was coupled to KLH (carrier protein) Via the N-terminal Cysteine and antibodies generated in rabbits.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blotting.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: We recommend testing of antiserum at 1:1000-1:5000 for neat serum and 1-10ug/ml for affinity pure using Chemiluminescence technique.
ELISA (1:10K-100K using 50-100ng control peptide/well.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%).
Freeze at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
