84-1039-79 STAT 6 (STAT6B, STAT6C, D12S1644, IL-4-STAT, interleukin 4 induced STAT, Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 6) 100ul S7972-42A
When activated by Janus kinases Stat6 is transported to the nucleus where it regulates cytokineinduced gene expression.
Required for responsiveness to IL-4 and IL-13 (1,2), Stat6 is activated via phosphorylation at tyrosine 641 (3,4).
In addition to its role in mediating IL-4 responses, Stat6 is activated in B cell lines by IFN-alpha, where it forms transcriptionally active complexes with Stat2 and p48 protein (5,6).
Protein phosphatase 2A is also involved in regulation of IL-4-mediated Stat6 signaling (7).
