特徴
- SynCAM is a brain-specific, immunoglobulin domain.
- It functions as a homophilic cell adhesion molecule at the synapse.
- Full-length synCAM has been shown to induce synaptic assembly.
- It has also been shown that synCAM, in conjunction with glutamate receptors, can sufficiently create a functional postsynaptic response.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
- Other applications have not been tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000 (ECL).
- Brain fractions give banding patterns of a core glycosylation population at ~50kD and a slightly higher population at ~65kD.
- Heterologous cell lysates give a single band around 107kD
- Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Positive Control:Rat brain fractions
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%).
- Freeze at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
- Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
