- DNA polymerase Iota (pol iota, also known as Rad30B) is a novel human polymerase, unlike any others known.
- It is an extremely low-fidelity enzyme that is highly error-prone when replicating undamaged and damaged DNA in vitro.
- To date there is, however, no human disease that can be attributed to overexpression or defects in poli.
- Can be used in Western blot at a dilution of 1:5,000.
- Positive control: HeLa whole cell extract (100ug) or GM0193 (lymphoblastoid cell line).
