Lactoferrin is a 77-78kD metal-binding single-chain glycoprotein found in milk and other exocrine secretions.
It is the major protein component of human colostral whey, with concentrations as high as 6mg/ml.
Since the human lactoferrin gene has been cloned, overexpression and large scale lactoferrin production are now possible.
Applications:Suitable for use in FLISA, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:FLISA, Coating: 1:100-1:500FLISA, Primary: 1:1000-1:30,000Immunohistochemistry: 1:200-1:2000Immunocytochemistry: 1:200-1:2000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
