Epitope tags are useful for the labeling and detection of proteins using immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation and immunostaining techniques.
Due to their small size, they are unlikely to affect the tagged protein’s biochemical properties.
The Myc epitope tag is widely used to detect expression of recombinant proteins in bacteria, yeast, insect and mammalian cell systems.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence and Immunocytochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 1:1000.
Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in TBS, 5% BSA, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight
Flow Cytometry: 1:800Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:400Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
