CD100, also known as leukocyte semaphorin), is a homodimeric protein expressed on majority of hemopoietic cells ( B, T, NK and myeloid cells) and is absent from bone marrow, erythrocytes, eosinophils and endothelial cells.
CD100 was shown to associate with different partner molecules in T cells such as CD45, a key molecule with protein tyrosine phosphatase activity involved in T-cell transduction, and serin kinase.
It plays a role in homotypic cell adhesion and in T cell activation.
It expression is increased after PHA-activation.
Semaphorins are neuronal chemorepellants that direct pioneering neurons during nervous system development.
CD100 is a novel semaphorin that induces B cells to aggregate and improves their viability in vitro.
CD100 modifies CD40-CD40L B-cell signaling by augmenting B-cell aggregation and survival and down-regulating CD23 expression.
CD72 is a lymphocyte receptor for the Class IV semaphorin CD100, which is involved in regulating B cell signaling.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:250-1:500Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage, store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
