Dopamine D2 receptor is known to exist in the short (D2S) and the long (D2L) forms that are encoded by splice variants of a single gene and differ only by the presence of an additional 29 amino acid in the intracellular, cytoplasmic loop 3 (1).
D2L receptor is a 446 aa, G-protein coupled and transmembrane receptor protein (3).
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
The predicted size of D2L form is approximately 50kD.
However, additional bands at approximately 60 and 100kD, and others are typically seen in various tissues (2-3).
Approximately 100-400ug of membrane protein/lane should be loaded to visualize various bands
ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml (1ug/ml immunogen peptide/well) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
