Connexin 43 is a member of a large family of gap junction proteins.
Each gap junction is composed of two hemichannels, or connexons that provide a route for the diffusion of low molecular weight materials from cell to cell..
Connexin 43 is found in the heart and brain and is known to bind tubulin at its C-terminus.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml on mouse heart lysate and 1ug/ml on human heart lystateImmunohistochemistry: 1:50.
Mouse heart tissue pretreated with Tris-EDTA buffer, pH 9.0 using high heat epitope retrieval techniques

Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
