The protein encoded by this gene is a regulatory protein involved in mitosis.
The gene product forms a complex with p34 (cdc2) to form the maturation-promoting factor (MPF).
Two alternative transcripts have been found, a constitutively expressed transcript and a cell cycle-regulated transcript that isexpressed predominantly during G2/M phase.
The different transcripts result from the use of alternate transcription initiation sites.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
