Avidin, synthesized in the hen oviduct, is a glycoprotein of MW 68,000 daltons which occupies about 0.05% of the total protein content of the hen egg white.
Native avidin is a tetrameric protein composed of four identical subunits.
Applications:Suitable for use in FLISA, Immunofluorescence, and Western Blot.
Other applications have not been tested.
