Uricase is very important for the determination of uric acid in biological fluids.
Not only is the reaction specific, it may be monitored at 292nm, 340nm or colorimetrically by coupled chromogenic response.
Non-enzymatic methods are interfered with by turbidity or the presence of aspirin, ascorbic acid, glutathione, paracetanol and many antibiotics
Uricase (urate oxidase) catalyzes the overall reaction that represents the termination of purine catabolism in all mammals excluding man, higher apes and the Dalmatian dog.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western and Dot Blot, ELISA and Immunoprecipitation.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:2000-1:18,000Western Blot: 1:250-1:2500Immunoprecipitation: 1:50Optimal Dilutions To Be Determined By The Researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
