• Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide.
• They participate in a variety of biological processes, including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric acid.
• They show extensive diversity in tissue distribution and in their subcellular localization.
• Carbonic Anhydrase 1 (CA1) is closely related to Carbonic Anhydrase 2 (CA2) and Carbonic Anhydrase 3 (CA3), and it is a cytosolic protein that is found at the highest level in erythrocytes.
• Anti-Carbonic anhydrase I antibody is ideal for investigators involved in serum protein components.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, immunomicroscopy as well as other antibody based assays using streptavidin or avidin conjugates.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:2,000-1:10,000Western Blot: 1:500-1:2,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
• For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
