It has a good binding capacity for water, Ca2+, Na+, K+, fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin and drugs.
Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood.
ALB is the major zinc transporter in plasma; it typically binds about 80% of all plasma zinc.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:ELISA: 1:20,000-1:100,000Western Blot: 1:2000- 1:10,000Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:5000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
