Anti-Rat IgG (H&L) generated in rabbit detects rat Immunoglobulin G.
Both the Heavy and Light chains of the antibody molecule are present.
Representing approximately 75% of serum immunoglobulins, IgG is the most abundant antibody isotype found in the circulation.
IgG molecules are synthesized and secreted by plasma B cells.
Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types.
When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition.
This Anti-Rat IgG is conjugated to peroxidase.
Applications:Suitable forfor use in Immunoblot (Western or Dot Blot), ELISA, Immunoperoxidase Electron Microscopy and immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:ELISA: 1:2000-1:10,000.
Use 1ug of Rat IgG in a standard capture ELISA
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:2000Optimal dilutions to bedetermined by researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months at -20°C after receipt.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O prior to use.
To avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot reconstituted stock solution and store at -20°C.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
