特徴

• Several peptides associated with feeding behavior have been reported recently.
• Orexins (Orexin-A and Orexin-B) are a family of hypothalamic neuropeptides selectively expressed in the hypothalamus (1).
• Orexin-A and Orexin-B are derived from the same precursor (Prepro-orexin) by proteolytic cleavage.
• Prepro-orexin is 130 amino acid long peptide with a putative 33 AA secretory sequence, a hydrophobic core followed by residues with small polar side chains.
• The expression was detected in brain and to a small extent in testis (1).
• These neuropeptides bind and activate two closely related Orexin receptors—G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) OX1R and OX2R.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
• Western Blot, though not tested, may potentially be used as an application.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:10,000-1:100,000 Using 50-100ng of control peptide/well
• Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.

• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
