Human GCP-2 is an 8kD protein containing 73 amino acid residues.
Neutrophil recruitment to inflammatory sites is mediated by two related receptors: CXCR1 and CXCR2.
Both receptors share two ligands, interleukin-8 (CXCL8) and GCP2 (CXCL6).
GCP2 belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.
GCP-2 promotes neutrophil chemotaxis and degranulation.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Neutralization.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution:Neutralization: 2-5ug/ml will yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of human GCP 2 (100ng/ml)
ELISA (Sandwich): 0.5-2ug/ml using 100ul/well antibody solution In conjunction with biotylated anti-human GCP 2 (G2023-55A) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant human GCP 2
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml.
Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant human GCP 2 is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
