The feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is the causative agent of the most important fatal infectious disease complex of domestic cats today.
It is an RNA virus belonging to the family Retroviridae.
FeLV can be transmitted between infected cats when the transfer of saliva or nasal secretions is involved.
If not defeated by the animal’s immune system, the virus can be lethal.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunoflourescence.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Direct IF: 1:10-1:50.
Acetone fixation of the antigen source is recommended prior to staining
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
