• bFGF (FGF-2) is a member of a family of seven peptides that are potent regulators of cell proliferation, differentiation and function.
• bFGF stimulates the proliferation of cells of mesodermal origin and many cells of endodermal, ectodermal and neuroectodermal origin.
• bFGF also induces neuron differentiation, survival and regeneration and stimulates astrocyte migration.
• bFGF may also be involved in the production of a variety of pathological conditions arising from excessive cell proliferation.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Neutralization.
• Other applications not tesed.
• Recommended Dilutions:ELISA (Sandwich): 0.5-2ug/ml.
• 100ul/well allows detection of 0.2-0.4ng/well
• Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml Detection limit is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
• Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 0.25-0.5ug/ml for 2 hours at RT.
• Heat induced antigen retrieval is recoomended using sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 Neutralization: 0.25-0.4ug/ml to yield one-half inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of human FGF-basic (0.3ng/ml)
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
• Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
