特徴

• Progesterone is a steroid hormone synthesized from the cholesterol derivative, pregnenolone, in the cortex of the adrenal gland.
• It is secreted by the corpus luteum and acts to prepare the endometrium for the implantation of a fertilized egg.
• During pregnancy, it is secreted by the placenta in order to prevent spontaneous abortion and to stimulate the development of mammary tissue to produce milk.
• Progesterone is also available as a pharmaceutical that can be used to treat menstrual disorders and for the prevention of miscarriage.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and 125I RIA.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:125I RIA: ED50 = 5.8ng/ml @ 28% B/TC
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Affinity Constant:~1.2 x 10e10 L/Mole
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
