The heterogeneous expression of human MAP (Mitogen Activated Protein) kinase isoforms in differentiated tissues may reflect the diversity of the signal transduction pathways in differentiated cells.
MAP kinases also known as erks have been established to function as important mediators of signal transduction by growth factor receptors.
Several components of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway have been demonstrated to be oncogenically activated in malignant tumors.
The genes that encode MAP kinases therefore represent potential targets for carcinogenic penetration.
These include the p63 MAP kinase (erk-3 related) 18q 12-21 gene loci site.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
