Discription：IL-16 （also called lymphocyte chemoattractant factor） is a CD8+ T cell-derived cytokine that induces chemotaxis of CD4+ T cells, CD4+ monocytes, and eosinophils. it has three isoforms which are cleaved from pre-Interleukin-16. It has many functions including induction of the IL-2Rα on T cells, suppression of human immunodeficiency virus （HIV） replication, inhibition of T-cell antigen receptor/CD3 mediated T-cell stimulation in mixed lymphocyte reactions and so on. Furthermore, recombinant human IL-16 （130a.a.） shares 85％a.a. sequence identity with murine IL-16, Human and murine IL-16 shows significant cross-species reactivity. Recombinant Human IL-16 is a 13.4kDa globular protein containing 130 amino acid.
