Discription：Platelet-derived growth factors （PDGFs） are dimeric glycoprotein consisting of two 12.0-13.5 kDa polypeptide chains-chain A and chain B. The three naturally occurring subforms, PDGF-AA, PDGF-BB and PDGF-AB, are potent mitogen for cells of mesenchymal origin, including fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells and glial cells. PDGF is involved in various biological processes, including hyperplasia, chemotaxis, embryonic neuron development, and respiratory tubule epithelial cell development.
