MTTP catalyzes the transport of triglyceride, cholesteryl ester, and phospholipid between phospholipid surfaces.
MTTP is required for the secretion of plasma lipoproteins that contain apolipoprotein B.
It is positively regulated by cholesterol and negatively regulated by insulin.
Defects in MTP are the cause of abetalipoproteinemia (ABL).
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
