GROS1 is a tumor suppressor protein encoded by a gene on human chromosome 1p31, a region mutated in many malignancies.
Gros1 identity to leprecan, a basement membrane-associated proteoglycan, has been reported.
The precise cellular function of GROS1 has not been determined.
