- eIF4E is a eukaryotic translation initiation factor that is involved in the direction of ribosomes to the cap structure of mRNA's.
- There are two forms of eIF4E: a free form (25kD) and as part of a multi-protein complex (eIF-4F).
- The free form seems to not be as plentiful, compared to the other initiation factors and acts as a rate limiting step of initiation.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunofluorescence.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20℃.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
