There are 2 named isoforms, a long and a short isoform, produced by alternative splicing.
The long isoform is predominantly expressed in heart, brain and skeletal muscle.
Both isoforms are also expressed throughout the central nervous system including the spinal cord.
Deletions of the EDRK-rich factor 1 gene, often accompany deletions of the neighboring SMN1 gene in spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) patients, and so it is thought that this gene may be a modifier of the SMA phenotype.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20℃.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
