Human adhesion molecule Muc 18 is also known as Melanoma Associated antigen A32, S-endo 1 endothelial -associated antigen, CD146 antigen and Melanoma adhesion Molecule Mel-CM.
Muc 18 was first identified as a melanoma progression antigen.
It belongs to the Ig superfamily.
Muc 18 could be actively involved in adhesion of cells of the neural rest during embroynic development.
Its expression may also allow cells of various tumors to interact with endothelial cells, thus allowing tumor spread through blood system.
In adult tissues, Muc 18 is limited to the cells of smooth muscles.
Expression is associated with development of metastasis of human malignant melanoma with the highest levels on the cells of metastatic lesions of malignant melanoma.
Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Flow Cytometry: Neat-10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma:Sp2/0 Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4℃ before and after reconstitution.
DO NOT FREEZE! Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at 4℃.
Reconstitute lyophilized powder with sterile ddH2O prior to use and store remainder as an undiluted liquid.
Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
