The coxsackie virus and adenovirus receptor (CAR) mediates cell attachment and infection by coxsackie B viruses and by a number of adenoviruses.
CAR also mediates homotypic intercellular interactions.
In polarized epithelial cells, CAR is closely associated with the tight junction, where it contributes to the barrier to paracellular flow of solutes and macromolecules.
CAR's biological roles are not well defined, but emerging evidence suggests that it may function during embryonic development and in regulating cell proliferation.
Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:HT-29 cells
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4℃ in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4℃ for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
