Pneumocystis jiroveci was formerly known as Pneumocystis carinii.
It causes the disease known as Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP) which is one of the leading causes of illness and death in persons with impaired immunity caused by HIV, organ transplantation or chemotherapy for malignant diseases.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:20Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:20Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Note:For bronchial lavage and induced sputum samples pretreatment of samples with 0.3% dithiothreitol or sputolysin is recommended.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20℃.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
