Glypicans are GPI-anchored heparan sulfate proteoglycans that include a large globular cysteine-rich domain with 14 invariant cysteine residues, a stalk-like region containing the heparan sulfate attachment sites, and a C-terminal GPI attachment site.
Glypicans are thought to function as low-affinity binding proteins that retain signaling molecules (cytokines, growth factors, proteases) at the cell surface.
Glypicans are widely expressed in adult and fetal tissues.
Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug/10e6 cells using HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell lineImmunocytochemistry: 3-25ug/ml in immersion fixed HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell lineWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml with lysates of mouse placenta tissue, mouse lung tissue, mouse adrenal gland tissue, rat placenta tissue, and rat lung tissueOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20℃.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
