• Period circadian protein homolog 2 (PER2), or Circadian clock protein PERIOD2, is a component of the circadian clock mechanism which is essential for generating circadian rhythms.
• It is a negative element in the circadian transcriptional loop by Influencing clock function by interacting with other circadian regulatory proteins and transporting them to the nucleus.
• PER2 negatively regulates CLOCK NPAS2-BMAL1 BMAL2-induced transactivation.
• This gene is a member of the Period family of genes and is expressed in a circadian pattern in the suprachiasmatic nucleus, the primary circadian pacemaker in the mammalian brain.
• Genes in this family encode components of the circadian rhythms of locomotor activity, metabolism, and behavior.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.

• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml detected PER2 in 200ug of HepG2 nuclear extract
• Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:50 detected PER2 in human pancreas and human kidney tissue
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20℃.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
