• Glut2 belongs to the facilitative glucose transporter protein family that comprises 13 members.
• It is an integral membrane protein with 12 transmembrane domains.
• Glut2 is expressed predominantly in liver, intestine, kidney and pancreatic beta-cells.
• It is a low-affinity glucose transporter that has been suggested to function as a glucose sensor in pancreatic beta-cells and facilitate either glucose uptake or efflux from cells depending on the nutritional state.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunocytochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml.
• Validated using immersion fixed beta TC-6 mouse beta cell insulinoma cell lineFlow Cytometry: 2.5ug labels 10e6 cells using beta TC‑6 mouse beta cell insulinoma cell line
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20℃.
• Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20℃.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
