• Bone Morphogenetic Protein 2 (BMP-2) and BMP-4 are two of at least 15 structurally and functionally related BMPs, which are members of the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta ) superfamily, BMPs were originally identified as protein regulators of cartilage and bone formation.
• However, they have since been shown to be involved in embryogenesis and morphogenesis of various tissues and organs.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Neutralization and Western Blot.

• Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 1ug/ml with recombinant human BMP­2 or recombinant human BMP­4, under non­-reducing conditions onlyNeutralization: Measured by its ability to neutralize BMP­2­ induced alkaline phosphatase production in the ATDC5 mouse chondrogenic cell line.

• The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically 5­-15ug/ml in the presence of 1ug/ml recombinant human BMP­2 and 2ug/mL heparin.
• Also neutralizes human BMP­4 induced activity in the ATDC5 mouse chondrogenic cell line.
• The ND50 is ~3ug/ml in the presence of 75ng/ml of recombinant human BMP­4
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20℃.
• Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20℃.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
