CD14 occurs both as a secreted protein and as a GPI-linked membrane protein.
It plays a critical role in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-dependent signal transduction.
Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Neutralization and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Flow Cytometry: 0.25ug/ml labels 10e6 cells in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) Neutralization: Measured by its ability to neutralize lipopolysacharide (LPS)-induced TNF‑ alpha secretion in the THP-1 human acute monocytic leukemia cell line.
At 10ug/ml 048959 will neutralize >60% of 0.5ng/ml LPS-induced TNF-alpha secretion
Immunohistochemistry: 5-25ug/ml using immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human tonsilWestern Blot: 2ug/ml using human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC)Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20℃.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
