Somatostatin Receptor 2 (SSTr2) is one of five 7-transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptors for somatostatins 14 and 28.
Human SSTr2 shares 84% aa identity with mouse SSTr2 within the extracellular domains.
Isoform B (357aa) has an alternate C-terminal cytoplasmic region that is 12aa shorter than that of isoform A (369aa, reported as 93kD).
Both are expressed in brain, stomach, intestinal epithelia, pancreatic islets and kidney tubules.
Isoform B is also expressed in parotid, thyroid and bronchial glands.
Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells in HEK293 human cell line tansfected with human Somatostatin R2/SSTR2 and eGFPOptimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4℃ in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4℃ for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
