Cadherin-13, also known as H-Cadherin and T-Cadherin, is a GPI-linked calcium dependent adhesion molecule that is predominantily expressed in heart and brain.
Cadherin-13 negatively influences cell growth and is down regulated in some cancers.
A 116 residue N-terminal propeptide is proteolytically removed to generate mature Cadherin-13.
Human and mouse proCadherin-13 share 95% amino acid identity.
