Bromodexyuridine (BrdU) is a thymidine analog, which is selectively incorporated into the DNA of proliferating cells to provide a marker for the DNA being replicated.
The number of proliferating cells can then be detected in cell lysates, tissue sections or suspensions using an antibody specific for the BrdU.
046222 is useful for detecting proliferating cells by flow cytometry or immunohistochemistry staining.
Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Flow Cytometry: 1-5ug/ml using intracellular staining
Immunohistochemistry: Frozen and paraffin sectionsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
