Perforin is a 70kD cytolytic protein with structural and functional similarities to complement component 9 (C9).
It is stored in cytoplasmic granules of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells and after its release it forms transmembrane pores in the target cells to kill it.
As perforin is a key effector molecule for cell-mediated cytolysis, defects of its gene can cause severe disorders.
Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells of 100ul whole blood or 1x10e6 cells in suspensionOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4℃ in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4℃ for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
