SMAD2 is a potent regulator of different cellular processes such as apoptosis, differentiation, and cell proliferation.
SMAD2 is associated with SARA protein and the TGF-B receptor.
SMAD2 gets phosphorylated by the TGF-B receptor in response to TGF-B signal, which induces its dissociation from SARA and association with SMAD4 followed by translocation into the nucleus.
In the nucleus, the SMAD2/SMAD4 protein participates in gene regulation by forming a transcription repressor complex in association with other cofactors.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
