CSPG4, best known as neuron-glial antigen 2 (NG2), is a chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan that is frequently used as a marker for oligodendrocyte progenitor cells.
NG2 plays an important role in cell proliferation and migration.
It also stabilizes cell-substratum interactions during early events in melanoma cell invasion on the endothelial basement membranes.
Missense mutations in NG2 are segregated in familial forms of schizophrenia, implicating its role in neurodevelopmental disorders.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 5-10ug/mlOptimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
