The protein named Proteinase-activated receptor 2 (PAR2/PAR-2), or Coagulation factor II receptor-like 1, G-protein coupled receptor 11, Thrombin receptor-like-1 and encoded by the human gene F2RL1/GPR11/PAR2 is a receptor for trypsin and trypsin-like enzymes coupled to G proteins.
Its function is mediated through the activation of several signaling pathways including phospholipase C (PLC), intracellular calcium, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB and Rho.
Also as part of the innate and adaptive immunity response, PAR2 acts as sensor for proteolytic enzymes generated during infection and works to promote inflammation and the inflammatory response.
PAR2 is also involved in vascular and airway tone and in blood pressure regulation and many other G protein coupled receptor response pathways.
PAR2 is a multi-pass membrane protein that is widely expressed in most tissues except brain or skeletal muscle.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 1ug/ml detected Par-1 in 10ug of mouse lymph node tissue
Flow Cytometry: 4ug detected Par-1 in 10e6 human thrombocytes (platelets)

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
