In humans, it is encoded by the CLDN18 gene, which is expressed on the epithelium.
Epithelial cells are cells located on the surface of the skin or cavity.
Their main function is to act as a physical and chemical barrier.
The most important connection between epithelial cells is tight junction.
Claudin is an important molecule that constitutes tight junctions of cells.
Tight junctions determine the permeability of epithelial cells and also play a role in blocking the diffusion of cell membrane surface proteins and lipids1.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and SDS-PAGE.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
